ver since the date of independence the congress party (Now it is Indian National Congress) has ruled India for the period much more than that of any other political parties. This does not mean that throughout there was no opposition against the congress party in India in centre. Of late the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) emerged as a cadre based party in India and prior to the last parliament election the said BJP successfully run the central government almost for a complete tenure.
Prior to the BJP lead government in centre, none of the political parties had single handedly lead their government for a complete tenure except the congress party. In India presently the ratio and the number of votes for the BJP even though has increased to a greater extent in view of the recent elections. However, the BJP is lagging a lot in many a sectors and segments possibly to claim their right in the next parliament election. In these years the BJP has not only lost many a good and talented leaders but seems to be adamant on many of their in house issues.
Nevertheless the congress party seems to be always good in their organizational setups and able administrators running their organization but some of their leaders often found themselves landed in to different scams and corruptions (before and/or after elections) bringing down their government. In the congress party the dynastic approach seems to work better for their organizational stability. However, the cadre based BJP now seems to have lost some faith from their grass root sangh parivar in addition to fractions of their own party people. The BJP leaders who used to be in the power has most of the time seen to side track their own sangh / organization people which used to happen just opposite in the congress party. As a result of which some times the sangh parivar seems to keep themselves apart from their political wing BJP. The present imbalance in both the outstanding and leading political parties has warranted me to write this article based on which possibly they can change and amend themselves on those issues before the next parliament election.
The basic question comes to my mind as to, in the coming days how much the BJP is prepared to fight the elections against the congress party in the national level in India and so is the case of congress party against the BJP or any other political party.
Does it really works asking the people at large on temple or India shining issues? Does it really works asking the people that the party works for the down trodden and poor class or caste people etc. etc. Will it be incorrect on my part to say that the people in India are now well aware and concerned about the real growth of this country and definitely they are looking for a political party to rule who can give them the real development.
Therefore I under stands that the time has come the people in India at large are going to ask the parties who are interested to form the government in the centre about their views on :
· What are their visions (parties) for the development of India after being able to form a government ?
· Whether their party is really concerned about the development in India ?
· Who all would be the part of their ministry with their competencies ?
· Whether their leaders has the ability to tackle the international issues and national image building program ?
· What are the sectors on which their party is going to emphasize for the real development in India ?
· Is the present government has performed well / badly for the development in any particular sector or segment ?
· Is the earlier government had performed well / badly in any particular sector or segment ?
· Whether the individual parties are in a position to form the government in India and if not, who are their possible allies and what would be their contribution for successfully running the government and the integrity of those allies as to whether they will or will not get fractioned in the middle of the tenure of any government ?
· What are the major sectors or segments of opposition by the opposition party against the ruling party and what are the reasons behind their opposition ? Whether the opposition was good or bad for the country ?
· What are the sector or segment on which the opposition party has supported the ruling party government and the reason thereof ?
· Whether any of the party interested in forming the government is transparent / open to show their election expenditure and the sources of their revenue or income?
· Whether the parties are transparent to show their candidate's financial growth from one election to the other ?
· Whether the parties are transparent in any of their candidate who is having any litigation or criminal cases pending or decided and the reasons for further fielding such candidate?
No doubt the congress party in the recent state or panchayat or civic bodies elections has not performed well, but it may not cost the congress party in the forth coming parliament election. The BJP had given a moderately good governance on the last tenure and they are required to be focused on recent trend of infrastructural development projects including industries (SEZ also), roads, railways, aviation in addition to the civic responsibilities like primary education, health etc.
For me it is the BJP which has to work tirelessly hard to nurture new as well as the seasoned politicians and create additional vote bank from different sector and segments and to fight on the issue or cause concerning the development of the country. At the same time the congress may have to work more hard to bring further development in this country to retain the government for the next term.
